DJ Jai Syncere’s appreciation for music was ignited when her father bought her first set of turntables when she was a teenager. With a mixture of natural talent and an affinity for music, Jai Syncere started her career as an aspiring DJ in the DC area in 2004. Her professional efforts, however, began when she interned at Radio One's 93.9 (WKYS) in 2001. There she worked in promotions and observed DJ Alizay during on-air events while attending live shows. In 2005, she earned invaluable training that she carried on with her to another leading station 95.5 (WPGC). While working in the production department, she observed the works of other seasoned professions DJ Storm & DJ Rico.
DJ Jai Syncere attended the Brooklyn campus of Long Island University and earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Digital Audio Production. During her years there, she DJ'd at campus parties and used those skills to boost her ambition for her return to the DC Metropolitan area. She then quickly progressed to entering the club scene and playing at popular venues such as H2O, Fur, Ibiza, Lotus, Layla, Tabaq and Josephine’s along with a host of other popular venues. She’s been invited to play honorary performances at Baltimore arenas such as AFRAM & Sonar. These opportunities served as a catalyst for exposure and bookings at a variety of features spanning the East Coast. Jai's notoriety has landed her mentions in publications like the Washington Blade, Metro Weekly, Ikons Magazine and interviews with Three Minds Camp just to name a few.
Becoming one of the DC areas main exports, DJ Jai Syncere's acclaim and professionalism defies conformity, quality and continues to nurture her solid skills. Her popularity as a DJ has landed her opportunities to play for the WNBA's Washington Mystics, Washington DC Presidential Inaugural balls and also exclusive major label album release parties. She has been featured to play for events hosted by celebrities like LisaRaye, Lil Mo, Atlanta Housewives’ Kandi Burress, Bad Girlz Club Flo Kaja, Buffy the Body and spun with the likes of DJ Jazzy Joyce and more. She continues to expand her talents by also working in areas of management, production as well as multi-city promotional campaigns. DJ Jai Syncere's underlying goal is to connect with a large mass of people while keeping a vibe that is intoxicating yet trendy. She is passionate about sustaining the legacy of the late, "Club Queen" DJ K-Swift, her friend and mentor. By exposing people to her talents, DJ Jai Syncere creates a sound unmatched by many while cultivating her career as a as a premier DJ, one stage at a time.
