DJ Surreal

DJ Surreal showed interest in lots of sports and art, but ultimately music and spinning turned out to be not only dream but also her passion. Surreal's love for music began at an early age when she was exposed to a vast variety of music as a child. Born and raised in the diverse cultural mecca of Miami combined with the cultural influence of Caribbean surroundings, she was provided with a unique musical base filled with selections from every genre of music. At the age of
nineteen, Surreal started building her own collection of songs that included all types of music ranging from traditional to eclectic and then experimented with her taste by playing her chosen selections for anyone who would listen. Her start came when she was chosen to spin with dj GQ at the world famous Voodoo Lounge, which opened doors and allowed people from Aventura to Boca to experience her talent. Five months later she was approached by the promoters of Traxxsouth to spin for their weekly Saturday night party "Purple Haze." It was there where she earned the title " The Madam of the Turntables" due to her ability to control any venue no matter the size or crowd. DJ Surreal's unrivaled professionalism and experience has placed her at the top of the alternative industry in South Florida and earned her numerous praise from her fellow dj's making her one of the most sought after and trusted up-an-coming professionals. When asked about her experiences so far, Surreal states "I've had the pleasure to spin many different genres from old school, to hip hop, to house, but my specialty is spinning the latest and greatest of the dirty dirty, r&b, hip hop, and dancehall. My passion is playing for the people, and at the end of the night or throughout the work week people are still talking about how much fun they had; my job was a success."
